Church Leadership
Entered the ministry in 1998. He has served as a local preacher and is currently assigned as an associate pastor at Christian Chapel C.M.E Temple of Faith where the Senior Pastor is Dr. Jerome E. McNeil.Rob serves the youth of the congregation as youth pastor. In his current role as Youth Pastor, his primary ministry focus is teaching youth (ages 12 to 17) to be more like Christ as well as instilling leadership characteristics into the young people. He has a strong passion for developing youth into Christian adults that can take an active role in their respective societies. Rob believes that youth are as responsible for their own salvation as adults, using Luke 2:42-52 as a thematic foundation, he provides the youth with the information and motivation to promote the growth of spirituality in their lives as well as informing them that they ought to be about their father’s business. He has a passion for youth salvation and their involvement in Kingdom business. He has been instrumental in aiding several youth ministries at the Temple such as: Boys to Men, Sista Sista, and the Alpha and Omega Step Team. He serves as Sunday School and Bible study curriculum coordinator as well as spiritual coordinator for the youth of the Temple.
In addition to serving the youth of Christian Chapel, Rob serves as Episcopal representative for the young adult ministry of the 8th Episcopal District of the CME Church. As a bi-vocational pastor, he also serves as program director of Jordan Community Development Corporation’s Good Nests Abstinence Program. In this role he works through schools, churches, civic and community organizations to educate youth of the responsibilities and dangers associated with sex outside of a committed marital relationship. He is happily married to a praying wife and together they have no children.
Rob has been working as an advocate for youth for many years. He started working as a counselor with the Upward Bound and Drive programs in the early 1990’s as well as working with the Beta Club, a youth auxiliary of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc., after pledging in 1992. He has been trained and has taught abstinence to youth in several venues. While working with organizations like the Skillful Living Center, True Love Waits, Worth the Wait, and the Choosing the Best program he has aided young people in gaining the knowledge required to make informed decisions in regards to sex and life in general.
